DAYTIME CEMETERY TOUR
This tour begins at the Cemetaries at the end of Canal Street. Easily accessed by taking the streetcar on Canal down to the Cemetaries.
This tour is twice daily. You choose 10 am or 1 pm. Allow ample time to travel and arrive 15 prior to Tour time.
Your interesting, licensed, educated Tour Guide will Guide you through a couple different burial cemeteries and will explain the burial procedures we have here being below sea level and burying our dead above and below the ground. Each Cemetery is unique! You will see how our wealthy were buried and how the poor were buried. One of the Cemeteries is the Charity Hospital Cemetery. Many stories to be told there!
