Discover the historic heart of New Orleans, where you are sure to fall in love with the city’s infectious spirit. During the tour, expert guides point out significant sites and explain the eclectic mix of old and new that makes this city so exceptional. You will pass by many points of interest and your informative Tour Guide will point them out to you along the route. Sometimes they will slow down for you to take photos.
You will exit The French Quarter and drive through The Marigny, Garden District, Treme, Uptown, Riverside, Riverbend, 9th Ward, Bywater, Irish Channel, Warehouse District. You will go up and over the levy to see Lake Pontchartrain, possibly through Musicians Village and much more! If you have never seen Lake Pontchartrain, you will be amazed! You will see the bridge that goes across the lake, the longest bridge in this entire Country over water!!! A good comprehensive City Tour will cover a 35 to 40 mile loop around the city and they are about 2 hours long. There is typically a break in the middle of the tour (normally in City Park) to enjoy a Beignet, grab a bite to eat or use the restroom.
A GOOD City Tour will have you on an elevated bus with great viewing windows. You will stay cool in the summer on a City Tour and warm in the winter while on your City Tour. Its also a great thing to do in the rain!
